Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna try targeting bowfin this week and appreciate the tips. One question I have is do you have issues getting hooksets when you set like that on a circle hook? I've always heard you just want to put a little pressure on, but you're setting like I might a bass. Does that just have to do with the structure of a gar's/bowfin's mouth or is the "don't set the hook when using circles" just over stated?
